This year’s NWT Archery Championship, held at Russell Lake just north of Behchokǫ̀, was a true celebration of sport, community, and tradition. With more than 50 participants from across the territory, the event highlighted the growing interest in archery and provided an exciting stage for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
The Aboriginal Sports Circle NWT would like to extend our sincere thanks to NorthwesTel, whose support made this event possible. Branded as the 2025 NWT Archery Championship powered by NorthwesTel, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening community connections and creating opportunities for Northerners to shine.
From the excitement of the competition to the chance for families and friends to come together on the land, this year’s championship was about more than just sport—it was about celebrating the people and places that make the North unique.
We are proud to work alongside NorthwesTel to bring events like this to life and look forward to continuing to grow the sport of archery in the Northwest Territories.
