Summer 2026 - Community Development Grant Intake Period Now Open

The intention of the ISCNWT Community Development Grant Program is to help offset the costs associated with the running of recreation programming, sport development and cultural activities that include physical activity.

Important Information

• You can submit multiple applications for different projects in your community.

• A letter of support from a Community Champion (either an individual or an organization) is required at the time of submission.

• If you have previously received funding from ISCNWT, you may reapply. However, your application will only be considered if all required reporting from your previous funding has been completed and submitted.

• Projects must take place in the Northwest Territories

• You must submit a report upon completion of approved project/event.

• Priority will be given to projects/events that build capacity, offer free programming, and involve the entire community.

• ISCNWT funding is designed to help offset costs and not fully fund projects.

• If you have received funding from the ISCNWT through the grant program previously, your application may be denied to allow other organizations or communities the opportunity.

Application Intake Periods Schedule

The Community Development Grant Program will have two application intake windows. This schedule will be the same every year.

October 15 - November 30

May 1 - June 15

ISCNWT will only accept application sent within the intake period.
